Work from home opportunities or scams? How to tell the difference.

Have you ever been tempted to spend your hard earned money on some of these internet work from home opportunities?

It's easy to be tempted by those wonderful ads that promise wealth beyond your imagination without having to spend much time and money. I mean, I would love to tell you that these opportunities do exist but unfortunately it does require work and most of the times lots of it.

Don't think that you will get rich overnight; the only people getting rich are the ones receiving your money.

There are so many new work from home opportunities popping up on the internet that you cannot keep track of all of them let alone tell which ones are legitimate.

There is one thing you can do to protect yourself and that is to know what criteria's are most important when investigating a potential opportunity.

Here is what I think you should look for in an "ideal" opportunity.

Low start up costs
A product or service that you believe in
Will the opportunity generate residual income?
Does it have a duplicable system?
Must have free training and support
Free marketing materials
A web site to help promote your business

Once you narrowed down your choice to a select few you should then research the company.

How long have they been in business?

Does the company have a good standing with the Better Business bureau?

By all means research the company on the internet, join some forums and read some reviews from other people that have been or are still in the particular company.

By following these steps you should be able to eliminate most of the online scams and be on your way to finding the right work from home opportunity.
